Here’s where it gets spicy. This will be the first time Detroit faces former nose tackle DJ Reader since he departed for New York. And yes, I know what you’re thinking. Reader didn’t exactly leave town with a warm goodbye from the fanbase.
After the Lions’ embarrassing loss to the Steelers in 2025, Reader got into it with fans on Twitter and had some colorful things to say. Look, I’ll be the first to tell you that players deserve better than getting harassed online. Reader had some justification for pushing back. Cam Skattebo brings that running back energy. And their defensive line? Yeah, that thing is absolutely stocked and could cause some real problems for our offensive line.
