Blake Miller was the No. 17 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft on Thursday by the Detroit Lions. The former Clemson star’s contract details have been revealed.
And that’s it. That’s literally all we’ve got.
Look, I’ve been covering this team through decades of draft reaches and salary cap disasters, and I know a placeholder story when I see one. Someone jumped the gun on publishing contract details that apparently don’t exist yet, or at least aren’t being shared with the rest of us.
Miller comes to Detroit from Clemson, where he made a name for himself doing whatever it is that convinced Brad Holmes to pull the trigger at pick 17. The contract specifics? Your guess is as good as mine right now.
This is peak Lions draft coverage. We get the announcement that details have been “revealed” and then… radio silence. It’s like getting excited for Christmas morning only to find an empty box under the tree.
When actual contract information surfaces, we’ll break it down properly. Until then, welcome to Allen Park, Blake Miller. Hope you’re ready for the ride.
Anyone else getting flashbacks to draft coverage from the Millen era, or is it just me? Drop your thoughts below.

LOL this is hilarious. At least we got Blake Miller in the building though, and from what I’ve seen from Clemson tape, the kid’s got some serious talent. Once the actual contract stuff comes out we can all stop guessing and just enjoy that we’re building something different here.
This is exactly the kind of sloppy stuff that keeps me from getting too excited about draft picks anymore. Someone’s jumping the gun with fake info and we’re all just supposed to act like this is normal? It’s not a great look for how this organization communicates with us fans.
Man, I’ve been through so much with this team over the years and I gotta say, at least we’re talking about picking guys at 17 instead of… well, you know. The empty box under the tree comparison made me laugh because that’s been the vibe way too many times before. Here’s hoping Blake turns out to be the real deal.
