Schedule Leak Season is Here and We’re Already Getting Crumbs
The Lions’ full schedule drops Thursday night, which means we’re officially in that weird limbo where reporters start dropping breadcrumbs and we all pretend like we’re not refreshing Twitter every five minutes looking for the next hint.
You know the drill. Some beat writer gets a text from a source. A primetime slot gets whispered about. Someone’s cousin who works for Fox accidentally lets something slip at a bar in Birmingham.
And here we are, tracking it all like it’s the damn stock market.
What We Know So Far (Spoiler: Not Much)
As of right now, there’s exactly one leaked detail worth talking about. Week 11, the Lions are heading to Germany for a 9:30 AM kickoff on Fox against an opponent that’s still TBD.
Germany. At 9:30 in the morning our time. Because apparently the NFL thinks Lions fans haven’t suffered enough with normal kickoff times.
Look, international games are cool and all. The franchise deserves the spotlight after decades of being treated like the league’s redheaded stepchild. But asking people in Michigan to be coherent and loud at 9:30 AM on a Sunday is asking a lot, even for us.
That’s it. That’s the entire leak so far. Seventeen other weeks are still a complete mystery, which means we’re basically where we started.
The Waiting Game Nobody Asked For
This is the most Lions thing ever, isn’t it? Other fan bases probably get their schedules leaked in chunks throughout the week. We get one game at breakfast time in a country most of us will never visit.
But hell, at least it’s progress. At least we’re interesting enough now for international games and primetime slots and actual speculation about our schedule. Remember when our biggest scheduling question was whether we’d get the early slot on Thanksgiving? Now we’re wondering which primetime games we’ll get, not if we’ll get any.
The bar was underground for so long that anything above ground level feels like a win.
Thursday can’t come fast enough. Until then, we wait. We refresh. We track every rumor and leak like our lives depend on it, because that’s what Lions fans do. We care too much about everything, even when we know better.
Got any inside info on the rest of the schedule or just here to complain about that 9:30 AM kickoff time? Drop it in the comments below.

Honestly I’m just pumped we’re getting these international games and primetime slots at all. This is what it looks like when your team is actually worth watching, and I’m here for it even if it means waking up early. Brad and Dan have changed the whole culture around here.
Cool, cool, cool. Germany sounds nice I guess but let’s pump the brakes a little. I’ll believe this schedule is actually good when I see all 17 games and we’re not getting screwed with the weird kickoff times like we always do. Hope I’m wrong though.
A 9:30 AM kickoff in Germany? I’ve watched enough Lions football in my life to know this team’s earned the right to play anywhere, and that’s something I never thought I’d say. This franchise has come a long long way from where it used to be, and I’m genuinely glad to see it.
The fact that we’re even talking about primetime games and international slots is wild honestly. Who cares if it’s 9:30 AM, I’m setting my alarm and I’m ready to go. This is the Lions being treated like a real franchise finally.
